Assistance to participate in events that suit your interests.
Opportunities to build meaningful relationships.
Helping you grow personally and confidently engage in your community.
Community participation support is for NDIS participants who want to get out and about, see friends, try new things and feel part of their local community, but need a support worker to do it. It helps reduce isolation and builds confidence.
You choose what you’d like to do. Your support worker helps with transport, communication, personal care and anything else you need while you’re out, so you can relax and enjoy yourself. Over time, we can help you build the skills and connections to do more independently if that’s your goal.
Community participation is usually funded from Core Supports – Assistance with Social, Economic and Community Participation. Activity costs such as movie tickets or entry fees are usually paid by you, not your plan.
We support community access across Melbourne’s northern suburbs.
Can I go out with a friend?
Yes. Talk to us about shared outings.
What if I’m nervous about trying something new?
