High intensity support is for NDIS participants with complex health or disability needs that require workers with extra training. It suits people who need help with things like complex bowel care, catheter care or enteral (tube) feeding as part of their daily routine, and families who want consistent carers they can trust.
Depending on your care plan, high intensity support can include:
Every high intensity support starts with a care plan written with you, your family and your health professionals. Our team includes Registered Nurse Sara Mansour. We keep detailed notes, follow your health plans closely, and act quickly if something changes.
High intensity daily personal activities are usually funded from Core Supports – Assistance with Daily Life, at a higher rate that reflects the extra training involved. Your plan needs to include funding at this level, and we can help you and your support coordinator gather the evidence the NDIA asks for.
We deliver high intensity support in your home across Melbourne’s northern suburbs.
